God in Morality

Morals appeal to emotions, and the state of being emotional is synonymous with belief.  The ultimate subjective object of belief is God.  Therefore, I propose that one cannot be morally sound without belief in God.  This idea is all about definitions.  What does it mean to believe in God?  It is a relationship of subject to object as pertaining to giving and receiving.  What is being felt and exchanged between who and what creates a logical design that is productive or destructive for relationships.   The moral equal of sharing is emulating the Nature of the Creator.      A practical definition of God is the express attribute of pure bestowal.  God exists as the connection between us.  We are the vessel by which God is revealed in this world.  Free will is choosing how and for why we receive, and our environment is projected by that actuality.  The intention is the measure, and it is either for the sake of sharing, creating a mutual guarantee, or it’s for the self alone, resulting in darkness.  Morals are convictions, values or teachings from a perception of what is right behavior.  Holistic morals are synonymous with what God-consciousness calls righteousness.  God does not receive, pure bestowal is always sharing.  If we only receive, we will always remain distant from G-d. Therefore, giving and doing good deeds to others bring us closer to G-d.  For instance, educating ourselves is valuable, while education of others is even more so.   (Farhey, n.d.)
How then, is desire judged?   Can one be moral without believing in God?  What decree decides where from an order comes?  In this idealogical discourse, I will bequeath as well with words the scope of the subject.  God has many conceptions but all in all, His Nature is Divinity and that is the Apex of Nobility and thus the Essence of the Nature of Morality.  Is there are measure of justice that quantifies a belief in Higher Governing?

The word ‘belief’ in and of itself implies a possibility of doubt.  Where there are doubts, the truth is being concealed.  Then, the person begins seeking beyond the self.  The revelation of an existing concealment of Light is what is known as “Fear of God.”  This is what Proverbs 1:7 from the Holy Bible proclaims to be the beginning of Wisdom and is a parallel to Reverence and Awe for Splendor and Beauty.  Fear of God is not mere speculation about an idea, nor is it adoration of an image, idol, or character.  Fear of God is one applying of discipline and wisdom in accordance with the objective truth of Faith--the objective being growth and Faith thereof being the action-orienting.

A moral standard, which is established by Nature is true, relative, productive desire.  Desire is created, formed, and then acted upon, and for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.  The system does not change.  Moral delegation is the base pivot of responsible behavior.  Values in relationships--be they with things, ideas, people, or the Creator Himself--are the all-pervasive conduits of causality.  And, from the opposite appearance, belligerence begets material servitude.  It is crucial to the aim for growth and positive change that ignorance be dispelled and ego be subdued, so we can stop being the effect.  We are in this world to be the Cause.  For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.  (2 Timothy 1:7)

One might take the opposite view and say God is independent of moral behavior.  This is a potentially harmful perspective,  as with such a view, one might invent a self-appointed excuse for satisfying one’s own ego.  Egocentric intention is non-connective, and God, the will to share what we receive, is a catalyst for morally sound activity.  Immoral activity is atheistic at the core.  The measure of such is the foundation for making decisions weighing risks and reward.  If then, the foundation was unconditional bestowal with mutual guarantee and responsibility, then the outcome will not be a negative result.  The intended result with love of God is instructions to build on a solid foundation, or as Jesus proclaimed in Matthew 7:26-- But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

It is revealed in the supernal order of the repair that the only essential existence belongs to God alone.  However, God exists to a person only to the extent that His unity can be known by that one.  Ignorance is no excuse.  For example, if a person with no belief in God commits a sin that no one knows about, they may not be aware that desire has a Supreme Governor, and that there will be consequences.  God’s will is only to benefit, and therefore, it must be so that things will not continue endlessly in their present state, the state of disorder.

Granted, if He did not spurn the destruction of the wicked, we could have said that their punishment is not a bad thing, but rather that, "Evil pursues sinners" (Proverbs 13:21), and their punishment is fair retribution.  (Luzzatto, 1992)  The karmic baggage will have to go somewhere, because energy never disappears, it simply changes form.

In Hebrew, the word for Creator and the word for Nature have the same numerical value.  Endlessness, or the Owner of That Will, is akin to Light, which is called Revelation.  What is being revealed?  The understandings of cause and consequence and the means towards honest attainment are all among the Revelation.  Concealment happens when we become the effect of our environment.  Darkness and Light cannot exist at the same time in the same place, and with each bit of effort towards becoming like God, we are given fuel or enlightenment on how to achieve our destiny.  We have no power to change, only to preserve and further understand the truth that He (God) has given us; even if a given time or culture does not find it relevant.  (Wood, 2007)

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is quoted saying, “Be kind whenever possible.  It is always possible.”  Morality, as observed, befits a person to Love their neighbor as themselves.  This timeless “Golden Rule” says to treat others how you wish to be treated, and that is what most will call God-consciousness.

Moral is a word that has more than one definition in English alone.  The moral (where the letter “a” sounds like “au”) of a people is the gauge of their potential level of fulfillment.  Ecological theory proposes that human development is best explained in terms of the interaction between individuals and the environments in which they live or have lived.  (Mossler, Witt, 2010)  Everyone is born into a certain microsystem--the family and neighbors--and the mesosystem--the product or moral, which I will call “God”, the substance of connection--is set according to why we receive. If a person only receives, it is always immoral.  “Me” is a word that has the same present tense as “I am”.  The Most High God of the Bible is called “The Great I AM" (YUD HEY VAV HEY--in Hebrew) which is a metaphor for connecting heaven and earth.  And, what just is the material reality but a presupposed, possession or relinquishing of what is claimed.

So what is Heaven?  It  How can such desire be created? It does not exist in our world. Hence, the soul is opposite to our entire world. It differs from this world by its property of altruism called "a screen" in Kabbalah.  (Laitman, 2002)  The screen is the intention.  Scientifically , the intention can be likened to a filter in a water purifier.  Purity is a mostly moral savvy.  What is holy and what is pure are like assigned to roles to decree and judge.  What is holy is sacred, it defines, and what is pure ought to be the offering for the sanctity impelled.  It’s about choices, and the only thing that can be a right intention is receiving for the sake of sharing.  This balances opposites.  Creature and Creator symbolism is to be honored.  Honor is also associated with Morality.

In conclusion, the law of interdependency upholds a necessary regeneration, which is our higher calling, and transforms the still, small voice within from one ego based to a more altruistic similarity to the Light--what symbolically most relates to morals in its relationship to darkness.  When “me” becomes “we”, God is on the throne, and this is a metaphor for balance between what is right and all that is left.  The utilitarian measure of from whom, towards what, when, where, why, and how desire grows will augment life more abundantly.  God is more willing to pour himself into our consciousness than we are even willing to receive him. Jesus said, "It is the Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."   (Epstein, 2009--Luke 12:32)  Manifest destiny!  “You have got to do much more than believe if you really want to change things.  You have got to do much more than believe, if you want to see the world change.“ (Matthews, 2012)
